I don’t know about you, but my skin has been SO dry lately. Hands, face, lips, legs…you name it. I thought the warmer months were supposed to bring humidity back into the air, but nope….doesn’t seem to be happening (yet). Maybe it’s the air in our condo? Maybe it’s because I’m in an office all day? Who knows. What I do know is how easy this hand scrub is to make. It literally takes less than five minutes. It’s all natural, smells delicious and you can customize it with whichever essential oils you wish. The all-star oil blend in my mix is Immune from Saje – it smells so fresh!
Brown Sugar, Coconut Oil Hand Scrub
What you’ll need:
1/2 cup Coconut oil (room temperature)
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
10-12 drops of essential oil (I used Immune from Saje)
In a small bowl, mix all of the ingredients together and then store in a sealed container or jar. I bought these cute little jars in a three pack at Dollarama.
Not only is it easy to make, but it’s easy to you. Take about half a tablespoon in your hands, scrub your hands together (making sure to scrub the tops of your hands) and then wash off with warm water. Your hands might be a tad sticky from the sugar, so just rinse with a little soap. The after effects are soft, smooth hands.
You can also omit the essential oils and use this as a lip scrub.
